Am Institut für Pharmazeutische und Medizinische Chemie der Universität Münster ist zum Wintersemester 2027/2028 eine W3-Professur für "Pharmazeutische und Medizinische Chemie" zu besetzen. Die zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/Der zukünftige Stelleninhaber hat das Fach Pharmazeutische und Medizinische Chemie in Forschung und Lehre in ganzer Breite gemäß Approbationsordnung für Apotheker (AAppO) zu vertreten. Zudem soll die zukünftige Stelleninhaberin/der zukünftige Stelleninhaber ein exzellentes Forschungsprofil mit internationaler Sichtbarkeit auf dem Gebiet der Pharmazeutischen und Medizinischen Chemie vorweisen und sich mit der experimentellen Entwicklung neuer Wirkstoffe beschäftigen. Mögliche Forschungsschwerpunkte sind zum Beispiel die Identifizierung, Entwicklung und Charakterisierung neuer Wirkstoffe, ihrer Wirkmechanismen sowie biologischen Targets. Voraussetzungen für die Einstellung sind ein abgeschlossenes Hochschulstudium der Pharmazie oder angrenzender Fächer, eine einschlägige Promotion sowie wissenschaftliche Leistungen auf dem Gebiet der experimentellen Pharmazeutischen und Medizinischen Chemie, die im Rahmen einer Juniorprofessur, einer Habilitation oder einer Tätigkeit als wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in an einer Hochschule oder außeruniversitären Einrichtung oder im Rahmen einer wissenschaftlichen Tätigkeit in Wirtschaft, Verwaltung oder in einem anderen gesellschaftlichen Bereich im In- und Ausland erbracht worden sind. Bewerbungen mit den üblichen Unterlagen (Lebenslauf, Zeugnisse, Forschungs- und Lehrkonzepte für die nächsten 5 Jahre (maximal 5 Seiten), Publikationsverzeichnis, bis zu drei einschlägige Publikationen (einschließlich kurzer Stellungnahme zur Relevanz), bisherige Lehrtätigkeit ggf. inklusive Lehrevaluationen, eingeworbene Drittmittel, Auszeichnungen) sind bis zum 15.07.2026 an die Dekanin des Fachbereichs Chemie und Pharmazie, Prof. Dr. Dagmar Klostermeier zu richten und ausschließlich elektronisch über das Online-Bewerbungsportal des Fachbereichs Chemie und Pharmazie der Universität Münster einzureichen. At the School of Science of Constructor University Bremen, the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Biotechnology (m/f/d) with a focus on Bioprocess Engineering is to be filled on a full-time tenure-track basis, ideally starting 01.01.2027. The School of Science is seeking an internationally visible researcher who combines experimental and computational approaches for the development, modeling, control, and optimization of biotechnological processes. Expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data-driven process optimization is particularly welcome. The successful candidate is expected to establish an innovative, externally funded research program in bioprocess engineering and collaborate closely with existing research groups in areas such as metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, systems biology, and bionanomaterials. Responsibilities include teaching biotechnology-related courses and laboratory classes at the BSc, MSc, and PhD levels, supervision of student research projects and theses, and active contributions to the BSc program “Chemistry and Biotechnology” as well as the MSc programs “Quantitative Life Science” and “Advanced Materials”. Applicants must hold a PhD in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field and demonstrate an excellent publication record as well as experience in modern bioprocess engineering technologies, third-party funding acquisition, and international teaching environments. Experience in transferring research into industrial applications and enthusiasm for innovative teaching and learning approaches are desirable. Excellent written and spoken English skills are required. The Cluster of Excellence RESOLV EXC 2033, jointly with the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials, offers an Early Career Research (ECR) Group Leader (m/f/d) position with a thematic focus on “Ultrafast spectroscopy at electrochemical interfaces”. The group will be established to link the research in electrochemistry and spectroscopy at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum (RUB) with that at the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials in Düsseldorf, within the framework of the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV, and will be hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Sustainable Materials. The new joint RUB-MPI ECR group “Ultrafast spectroscopy at electrochemical interfaces” will aim to gain fundamental insights into electrochemical processes. The applicants (m/f/d) are expected to have a full university degree with a doctorate in chemistry or a related discipline, (ultrafast) spectroscopy and electrochemistry, an outstanding record of publications, a fascination for the interdisciplinary research field Solvation Science, and the ability and willingness to collaborate with existing groups in the Cluster of Excellence RESOLV and at MPI SusMat. International experience as a postdoc is beneficial. The earliest starting date would be August 1, 2026, the exact starting date is subject to negotiation. Funding is restricted until 31.12.2032. Job offerings on this website will be posted for free on these websites if they reach us via E-Mail. The job list Professors and Junior Researchers is updated within a week at the latest.

Please send the text of your job advertisement to karriere@gdch.de and insert it right into the Mail or attach it as an .rtf-file. Please do not send PDF files! In order to avoid further inquiries from our sides please do also indicate whether the publication should be online only or additionally in the “Nachrichten”, our monthly member’s magazine.

To provide job seekers a quick overview, the first line of the advertisement should name the vacant position (professorship) and the institute or university with the vacancy (e.g. "Professorship available at the Institute for xxx of yyy University" – please see sample texts). Please also mention the application deadline and give the address for applications at the end of the ad.

The advertisement should have about 2.500 characters including blanks. We reserve the right to shorten longer texts without notifying the advertiser. Please do not send us a designed advertisement! However, you can of course link to the complete announcement on your website.

Should you additionally want to publish your announcement in “Nachrichten aus der Chemie”, you have two options:
