The Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, has an opening for a position as Assistant professor (tenure track) in inorganic chemistry. The Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry of the Faculty of Science at the University of Geneva invites applications for a full‐time tenure track assistant professor position in the field of inorganic chemistry in the broadest sense. The role includes: teaching at bachelor, master and postgraduate levels, as well as supervising master's and doctoral theses. The candidate should be able to teach in French about two years after taking up the position. The candidate will be expected to: develop a fundamental, creative and high‐quality line of research at the national and international level in his/her area of specialisation and to obtain external funding. He/she will also be responsible for administrative and organisational tasks within the Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry and the Faculty. Requirements: PhD in chemistry or equivalent qualification. Major publications in international journals. Starting date: July 1, 2025 or upon mutual agreement. An der Rheinland-Pfälzischen Technischen Universität (RPTU) ist am Standort Landau eine Stelle als Akademische Oberrätin / Akademischer Oberrat als Lehrkraft für besondere Aufgaben im Fach Chemie zu besetzen (Verbeamtung auf Lebenszeit, A14 LBesG, 100%, alternativ im Angestelltenverhältnis E13 TV-L). Gesucht wird eine Persönlichkeit mit herausragender fachlicher Expertise im Bereich der Allgemeinen und Anorganischen Chemie, die sich sowohl aktiv an der Profilentwicklung des Instituts für naturwissenschaftliche Bildung und der Arbeitsgruppe Chemiedidaktik beteiligt, als sich auch intensiv in die Betreuung der relevanten Studiengänge einbringt: Das Fach Chemie betreut unter anderem die Bachelorstudiengänge (B. Sc.) Umweltwissenschaften, Mensch und Umwelt und Umweltchemie sowie die chemiebezogenen Bachelor- (B. Ed. Grundschule, Förderschule, Realschule Plus, Gymnasium) und Master-Lehramtsstudiengänge (M. Die/Der Stelleninhaber/in soll mit ihrer/seiner ausgewiesenen Expertise in der Allgemeinen und Anorganischen Chemie in voller Breite die Lehre für die umweltwissenschaftlichen und lehramtsbezogenen Studiengänge abdecken (Vorlesungen, Seminare, Übungen). Die Person trägt zur Qualitätssicherung und Weiterentwicklung dieser Studiengänge und der ihnen zugrunde liegenden Curricularen Standards des Landes Rheinland-Pfalz für die Lehrkräftebildung bei. Erwartet werden exzellente Leistungen in der Lehre sowie die Fähigkeit, in deutscher Sprache zu lehren. Die Lehrverpflichtung beträgt 16 SWS. Die Bereitschaft, in der Hochschulselbstverwaltung mitzuarbeiten, wird vorausgesetzt. Die fachdidaktische Forschung in der Arbeitsgruppe Chemiedidaktik deckt die gesamte Spanne von empirischer Grundlagenforschung bis hin zu anwendungsbezogenen Entwicklungsforschung ab und ist durch Kooperationen mit den anderen Fachdidaktiken des Instituts für naturwissenschaftliche Bildung sowie mit dem Institut für Umweltwissenschaften und dem Institut für Mathematik geprägt. Job offerings on this website will be posted for free on these websites if they reach us via E-Mail. The job list Professors and Junior Researchers is updated within a week at the latest.

Please send the text of your job advertisement to karriere@gdch.de and insert it right into the Mail or attach it as an .rtf-file. Please do not send PDF files! In order to avoid further inquiries from our sides please do also indicate whether the publication should be online only or additionally in the “Nachrichten”, our monthly member’s magazine.

To provide job seekers a quick overview, the first line of the advertisement should name the vacant position (professorship) and the institute or university with the vacancy (e.g. "Professorship available at the Institute for xxx of yyy University" – please see sample texts). Please also mention the application deadline and give the address for applications at the end of the ad.

The advertisement should have about 2.500 characters including blanks. We reserve the right to shorten longer texts without notifying the advertiser. Please do not send us a designed advertisement! However, you can of course link to the complete announcement on your website.

Should you additionally want to publish your announcement in “Nachrichten aus der Chemie”, you have two options:
