Working groups
Intensive subject-related work is carried out primarily in the LChG working groups. This enables the LChG to cover the full breadth of food chemistry-related fields and to engage continuously with current issues. The results are widely recognised and are published, among other places, as position papers in the journal Lebensmittelchemie and on the Division homepage. They are particularly sought after for the standardisation and validation of analytical methods, the preparation of guidelines for the German Food Code and legislative initiatives by the Federal Government and the European Community.

The high level of specialist expertise within the working groups is of particular importance in connection with the preparation of numerous written statements, through which the Board actively participates in legislative initiatives by the Federal Government and the European Community.
