University statistics on chemistry

Every year, the GDCh collects data on chemistry degree programmes and, every two years, data on habilitations, habilitation candidates and junior professorships at German universities.

Statistics on chemistry degree programmes

Every year, the GDCh collects extensive data from all universities offering chemistry degree programmes on the number of students in the various stages of study, the number of examinations taken, their results and the duration of study. Information on entry into the profession after completing a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree or doctorate is also recorded. The GDCh is supported in this survey by the chemistry departments at the universities. The statistics are published annually at the beginning of July.
