Frequently asked questions

You can view the data you have stored in your MyGDCh area and make changes if necessary.

We recommend that you give us a SEPA direct debit mandate. This is the simplest and most convenient way to pay for your membership. Alternatively, you can transfer the amount yourself after receiving the invoice. Members residing abroad also have the option of paying by credit card via PayPal. Further information

The costs vary depending on the type of membership. An overview of our different types of membership and the associated costs can be found on our Membership fees page.

The membership fee is an annual fee, determined according to the fee category, and is invoiced every year in November for the following year. When a new membership begins in the first half of a calendar year, the full annual fee is due. If membership is applied for in the third quarter, the annual fee is reduced by 50 per cent, while in the fourth quarter no membership fee is payable for the year of joining. Further information can be found on the Fees page.

Directly with the membership application, via our homepage under the individual Divisions/working groups or in the MyGDCh section. The Division fees can be found on the Fees page.

Student membership applies to people up to the age of 30 who provide valid proof of enrolment or doctoral studies. In exceptional cases, student membership may be extended. For new members, membership is free of charge in the year they join; the standard membership fee will be charged from the following year. Further information can be found on the Membership fees page.

A complete overview of the participating associations and their respective annual fees can be found on the Fees page
