The senior experts undertake excursions together. These events – preferably a mixture of culture and chemistry – focus not only on discovering new horizons, but also on social contact between the senior members. In addition to the GDCh senior members, the VAA senior members from the Hanau-Wolfgang works group usually also take part in these excursions.
Holger Bengs organised this first excursion on 23 May 2007; Wolfgang Gerhartz organised all subsequent tours, in some cases with considerable support from Eva Wille, Klaus-Peter Jäckel and Hans-Uwe von Grabowski.
