GDCh-VAA dual membership

GDCh

GDCh-VAA dual membership

As a chemist in a leadership position or on your way there, you benefit from a close partnership between the GDCh and the VAA – the association of executives in the chemical industry. The VAA represents your interests as a trade union for academics, provides personal legal advice on employment law and is directly represented on site in many companies by committed elected representatives. With dual membership, you combine the GDCh’s professional network with the VAA’s professional policy representation – at reduced rates.

The VAA – Your Voice in Business and Politics

The VAA (Association of Employed Academics and Executives in the Chemical Industry) sees itself as an academics’ union and an association representing executives. Thanks to its high level of organisation within companies, VAA members always have local contacts available to support them: committed VAA representatives are widely represented on supervisory boards, spokesperson committees and works councils, thereby actively contributing to workplace co-determination. The VAA’s legal experts advise members on all employment law matters – including legal representation in employment tribunal proceedings. The VAA is also active in higher education: through the VAA and the VAA careers network, students, doctoral candidates and graduates of science and technology degree programmes receive valuable information about employment opportunities and career paths in the chemical industry and related sectors.
