Symposium on Green Genetic Engineering

Applications of green genetic engineering and new genomic techniques (gene editing) are discussed in Germany in a particularly highly emotional and controversial manner. Legislative requirements hinder their scientific and economic applications in the European Union. The European Commission has recognised this and wants to present a draft for the new regulation of the genetic engineering legislation by November 2022. Our symposium falls precisely within this period. It will certainly be an exciting and informative event.
The symposium is organised by the GDCh together with DECHEMA and the Wissenschaftlerkreis Grüne Gentechnik e.V. The event will be moderated by Klaus-Dieter Jany, a member of the board of Senior Expert Chemists. The event will take place at DECHEMA in Frankfurt and will start at 13:00. Registration is required. Online registration will be available from 1 September via the official GDCh website .
