Working group 4 - Newsletter

Status Quo

The first very short SEC newsletter appeared in 2009; since 2023, longer newsletters have been published regularly; six (every two months) were published in both 2024 and 2025, and in 2026 there have so far been two as planned and a special newsletter on transformation

Aims

  • Unifying element for all (passive and active) SEC members
  • Unifying element connecting the office and other Divisions and organisations
  • Important tool for attracting and retaining members
  • Ensure a regular intake of younger members

Planned projects

Six regular newsletters and, where appropriate, shorter special newsletters

Good linking within the new SEC website and within the GDCh offering is important (an overview page for newsletters would be helpful for members).

Responsibility for sections should also be assigned within the Publications working group, so that particularly popular sections such as Recalculated do not wither away

Desirable: standard evaluation of usage, such as open rates

Members of the working group

Speakers: Wolfgang Gerhartz, Eva Wille
Petra Schultheiß-Reimann, Franz Schütz

Possible collaboration with GDCh Divisions

We accept information, enquiries, etc. from other Divisions and all members.
