Valid for membership applications received from 1 to 30 November 2026 (00:00–23:59).
2) Who can participate?
Referrers: all active German Chemical Society members; employees of the GDCh Office are excluded.
Referred persons: all persons applying for personal GDCh membership (e.g. student member, junior member, Full Member, retired member).
3) How attribution works
In the membership application, the name and, ideally, the membership number of the referring GDCh member must be entered in the “Referred by” field.
Subsequent notifications or corrections outside the application are not possible.
Self-referrals are excluded. A maximum of one referring person will be recognised per referred membership.
4) When is a referral considered successful?
When the referred membership has been activated (membership is active).
If the membership is revoked or cancelled within the applicable period, the entitlement to the voucher lapses; any codes already issued may be blocked.
5) Thank-you voucher
Referrers receive a €10 voucher for the GDCh Shop.
It will be sent by email 14 days after the end of the promotional period.
The voucher is valid for 12 months, can be redeemed once, is non-transferable and non-refundable, and cannot be combined with other vouchers or discounts. Delivery costs are not covered.
6) Limits and fairness
A maximum of 5 vouchers (€50.00) per referring person during the promotional period.
In the event of duplicate entries, the membership number stated in the application will count; in the event of multiple nominations, GDCh will decide.
7) Data protection
The information “Referred by (membership number)” is used exclusively to administer the promotion and send the voucher. GDCh’s data protection provisions apply.
