Awards & Honors of the GDCh Division of Solid-State Chemistry & Materials Research

PhD Award

The companies H.C. Starck Tungsten GmbH (Goslar) and TANIOBIS (Goslar) take turns awarding the prize for the best PhD thesis in the field of inorganic solid-state chemistry and materials research. The prize is awarded annually by the Division of solid-state chemistry and materials research of the German Chemical Society (GDCh).

Rudolf-Hoppe Lectureship

Since 2016, the Division has awarded this prize every two years to individuals who have achieved outstanding scientific accomplishments in the field of solid-state chemistry & materials research. The eponymous lectureship generally comprises four lectures, the first of which is usually delivered immediately after the award ceremony at the Division conference.

Wilhelm Klemm PhD Award of the Wilhelm Klemm Foundation

The Wilhelm Klemm Foundation awards an annual PhD Award for an outstanding doctoral thesis in the field of inorganic solid-state chemistry.
