Junigefeste Mentoring

JungeFeste

Young Celebrations

JungeFeste is a group of early-career researchers within the GDCh Division of Solid-State Chemistry & Materials Research that represents the concerns and interests of early-career scientists in these fields. This includes all interested Division members who do not yet hold a permanent position: from students to junior professors. JungeFeste delegates two people as permanent guests to the Board of the Division to ensure a direct connection. JungeFeste members have access to both the mentoring programme and various events and workshops. All the latest news is available in our newsletter and on social media. You can find the complete overview at linktr.ee/jungefeste.

Virtual meetings for getting to know one another, networking and socialising take place on the 4th Friday of every month at 3:00 pm. For general suggestions, questions or proposals, please contact Maximilian Stremel (Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf) or Irina Zaytseva (Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich).

For everyone who wants to play an active role in shaping JungeFeste, there is a planning email distribution list, where everything important, from ideas to organisational details, is discussed. Membership is open to everyone, and we welcome any support, idea or contribution.

Current Working Groups

JungeFeste Events
The working group is responsible for organising events for early-career researchers in the Division of Solid-State Chemistry & Materials Research. In addition to the ongoing Online lecture series JFK - JungeFesteKolloquium, we are also planning in-person events in the form of conference sessions or workshops. If you have ideas for events or need support, please contact Sebastian Klemenz (Fraunhofer IWKS, Alzenau/Hanau) or Simon Steinberg (RWTH Aachen University).

JungeFeste Communications
The JungeFeste Communications group organises everything related to public relations and other networking - both within JungeFeste through the newsletter and monthly virtual meetings, and externally through the content of this website, maintaining the social media presence (X: @JungeFeste) and networking with related groups. If you are interested in supporting us, please send an email to Markus Suta (Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf) or Günther Thiele (University of Freiburg).
