Young Water Forum (JWF)

Who we are – What we do

The Young Water Forum (JWF) was founded in 2024 and is the association of early-career researchers within the GDCh Division Society of Water Chemistry. In addition to providing opportunities for networking and exchange, the JWF offers the chance to contribute your own ideas and visions to the Society of Water Chemistry. There is no age limit. All members of the Society of Water Chemistry are welcome – students, doctoral researchers, postdocs and scientists during their Career planning and development – who feel that they belong and can benefit from the opportunities on offer. We explicitly also encourage international scientists to get involved.

Would you like to become a JWF member or even get actively involved? Then send us an email at JWF@go.gdch.de

Karrierelunch

Since 2025, we have been offering the Career Lunch as part of the WASSER Annual Conference – an opportunity to exchange ideas in a small group with the speakers. The focus is not (only) on the respective research, but also on individual career paths, experiences abroad, perceptions of science, everyday working life, tips and advice, and in principle anything that interests JWF members. The Career Lunch enables a form of exchange that is not the main focus during academic presentations or networking activities. As the Career Lunch takes place during the lunch break, food and drinks are provided.

There is no age limit for registration. Simply come along and give it a try.

Feel free to write to us at JWF@go.gdch.de with your preferred speakers for the next Career Lunch.

We are delighted to receive support from the Board and that this enables us to contribute our suggestions and put ideas into practice.
