Collaborations

Cooperationen #

The SEC Division is networked with other GDCh Divisions and committees.

Examples of cooperation include:

  • The brochure "Experiences of equal opportunities" and a poster at "25 years of equal opportunities at the GDCh", produced jointly with the Equal Opportunities Commission and the "history of chemistry" Division
  • Members of the Young Chemists Forum (JCF) regularly and very successfully chair the talks at our SEC annual meetings.
  • The GDCh Early Career Community (GECCo) held its first meeting as part of our 10th SEC annual meeting on 3 May 2026 in Bayreuth.
  • The 11th SEC technology tour to Leverkusen is the result of cooperation with the Process Analytics Working Group.
  • Speakers from the "history of chemistry" and "food chemistry" Divisions, and from the process analytics community in 2027, are regular guests at our Online talks.

We aim to deepen, develop and extend these existing networks.

There are already many areas of common ground between our "chemical education" working group and the "chemical education" Division (FGCU), whose annual meetings our members actively participate in. At the meetings in Regensburg in 2024 and Göttingen in 2026, SEC members gave talks on chemistry experiments. In Erlangen, we organised a symposium on ammonia in 2025. We presented a poster at both Erlangen 2025 and Göttingen 2026.
