Young Environmental Chemistry & Ecotoxicology

Who we are – What we do
Junge Umweltchemie & Ökotoxikologie (jUCÖT; founded in April 2021) is the youth organisation of the GDCh Division Umweltchemie & Ökotoxikologie. It represents the interests of the Division’s young members, supports them in networking on a shared platform and works closely with the Board of the Division. Since January 2023, jUCÖT has had an elected Board, which delegates members to the meetings of the Division Board and actively participates in the Division’s work, e.g. in planning and organising Conferences and awards. One of jUCÖT’s core responsibilities is organising supraregional events, such as the annual Junge Umweltforum (JUF) and the Perspektiventage.
All student and junior members of the Division are automatically members of jUCÖT. Anyone interested in getting actively involved in jUCÖT is asked to contact jucoet@go.gdch.de by email. We look forward to exchanging ideas!
