Working Group Soil

The Working Group Soil of the GDCh Division environmental chemistry & Ökotoxikologie communicates relevant scientific findings and practical experience to legislative committees.

Conversely, it also offers assistance and initiates scientific research based on questions from higher-level committees.

The working group will begin its work with the topic of the future assessment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in soil, particularly the current amendment proposal, which is currently the subject of very controversial discussion. Substances that have received less attention to date, beyond the 16 EPA PAHs and PAH transformation products, are also to be taken into account.

Board 2023-2026

Prof. Dr. Christine Achten (Deputy Chair), University of Münster
