In a letter dated 28 September 2026, we informed you of the candidates proposed by the incumbent Board of the GDCh Division of Environmental Chemistry & Ecotoxicology for the upcoming Board election. Contrary to the original announcement, Dr. Nicola Bitsch is not available to stand as a candidate. No further nominations have been received from among the members. Accordingly, the Board election will be held with the following candidates, all of whom have agreed to stand:

Under the Division's bylaws, the Board consists of a maximum of seven members (1 Chair, 2 Deputy Chairs, max. 4 other members), each elected for a term of four years. Universities, public authorities and industry should all be represented in the composition of the Board. One re-election is possible.
All Division members who have provided an email address will receive a link to the online vote on Monday, 26 October 2026. All other members will receive the ballot papers by post.
The election result will be announced in Nachrichten aus der Chemie and on the Division's website.

In accordance with the bylaws of the Division, the Board consists of a maximum of seven members (1x Chair, 2x Deputy Chair, max. 4x assessors), who are elected for a term of four years. Universities, public authorities and industry will be represented in the composition of the Board. One re-election is permitted. Thus, eight people are standing for election to seven vacant Board positions; their brief CVs are enclosed with this letter for your information. The positions of Chair and Deputy Chair will be determined from among the elected Board members after the election.
