The aim of the annual conference is to exchange experience and ideas between academia and industry on the subject of "Chemistry and Energy". Chemistry's contributions to future energy supplies will be critically examined. Challenges in application will be discussed alongside new trends in basic research.

Programme

The topics of the workshop at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) included not only energy transformations in the narrower sense, but all aspects of energy and its role in chemistry and for chemistry. These included energy generation, storage and conversion, as well as questions of energy efficiency, modelling and accounting, study and teaching.

The aim of the workshop on 24 February 2011 in Berlin was to promote the exchange of ideas between science, politics, associations and the media. Lecture programme:
