Board
On 31 August 2026, we announced the candidates proposed by the incumbent Board of the GDCh Division of Biochemistry for the forthcoming Board election. No further nominations were submitted by members. Accordingly, the Board election will be held with the following candidates, all of whom have agreed to stand for election.

According to the bylaws of the Division, the Board consists of a maximum of six members (1x Chair, 1x Deputy Chair, 4x other members), five of whom are elected for a term of four years. Universities and industry should have equal representation on the Board. Re-election once is possible. One of the other Board members is delegated by the Board of the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM).
All members with an email address on file will receive a personalised voting link on Monday, 5 October 2026. All other members will receive their voting documents by post.
The ballot envelopes will be opened and counted at the GDCh Office, Varrentrappstr. 40-42, 60486 Frankfurt am Main. The election results will be announced in Nachrichten aus der Chemie and on the Division's website.

According to the Division's bylaws, the Board consists of six members (1x Chair, 1x Deputy Chair, max. 4x ordinary members), each elected for a term of four years. A single re-election is possible. One of the ordinary Board members is not elected but delegated by the Board of the Gesellschaft für Biochemie und Molekularbiologie e.V. (GBM). Thus, five people are standing for election to five Board positions to be filled.
