Board of the GDCh Division of Biochemistry

Board election for the 2027–2030 term

The term of office of the Board of the GDCh Division of Biochemistry ends on 31 December 2026, and you, as members of the Division, are called upon to nominate candidates for the Board election who

  • have declared their willingness to stand for election,
  • are members of the Division and
  • have the support of six members of the Division.

According to the bylaws of the Division, the Board consists of a maximum of six members (1x Chair, 1x Deputy Chair, 4x ordinary members), five of whom are each elected for a term of four years. The universities and industry should have equal representation in the composition of the Board. Re-election once is possible. One of the ordinary Board members is delegated by the Board of the Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (GBM).

After serving two terms, Prof. Dr. Kathrin Lang, Dr. Hans-Georg Lerchen and Prof. Dr. Stefan Raunser may no longer stand for a further term. All other elected Board members have indicated their willingness to stand for re-election. We would like to take this opportunity to express our particular thanks to all of them for their many years of successful work for the Division and the GDCh as a whole.

For the five Board positions up for election, the incumbent Board is putting forward the following five proposals, in addition to your nominations:
