JuWiChem
Youth organisation of the Association for Chemistry and Economics for student and young members
Young business chemists form a national network for students and recent graduates (with up to three years of professional experience) who are interested in chemistry and business. Together, we represent the interests of the student and young members of the Association for Chemistry and Economics (VCW).
Our core responsibilities include organising supraregional events, working directly with the Board of the VCW and networking with the regional business chemistry associations. JuWiChem not only addresses the challenges faced by young business chemists, for example by increasing the acceptance of the degree programme in academia and industry, but also seeks to overcome the geographical distance between other business chemistry students. To the same extent, JuWiChem supports stronger networking among chemists with an interest in business-related issues, thereby enabling exchange and the establishment of a shared platform.
Committed members are involved in the work of the subgroup through active participation in the development of JuWiChem and the organisation of future events.
Membership of VCW and GDCh automatically results in membership of the young organisation JuWiChem. In addition, members of the regional “economic chemists’ associations” have the advantage of being able to participate in JuWiChem events even without membership of VCW.
Become a member
The JuWiChem Board represents the interests of student and young VCW members and is elected directly by them. The Board gains influence within the section through a permanent voting right on the VCW Board.
The current composition of the Board can be viewed on the JuWiChem homepage. Representatives of the local industrial chemistry associations hold guest seats.
