CheMento is the nationwide mentoring programme of the GDCh. In a kind of tandem relationship, established chemists support young chemists with their experience in questions relating to career planning, starting a career and career orientation.

With CheMento , the GDCh offers students, doctoral candidates and postdocs in chemistry the opportunity to make optimum use of the GDCh’s extensive network.

Participation in CheMento is free of charge and designed to last for a period of 12 months.

Prof. Dr Stefanie Dehnen, GDCh President 2024 & 2025, on CheMento:

"Our world is currently changing rapidly – everything is becoming more confusing and uncertain. In times like these, it is particularly important for those starting their careers to be able to rely on experienced people who, as mentors, can help them find their own way and take their first steps with confidence. To this end, GDCh has established a platform with the CheMento programme that offers exactly this – free of charge and without complications! Students, doctoral candidates and postdocs can benefit from a large network and the expertise gathered there, and use it to advance their own Career. Don’t miss out on this opportunity!"
