GDCh A-level Prize
The GDCh Abitur Award is an honour conferred by the German Chemical Society (GDCh) on the best pupils studying chemistry at grammar schools or comprehensive schools. The GDCh Abitur Award aims to strengthen interest in chemistry among the best pupils.
This is of interest to anyone wishing to begin a degree in the natural sciences or engineering, not only prospective students of chemistry, biochemistry, food chemistry or chemistry teaching. Each school may honour one awardee per year group with a book prize and is entitled to offer two other deserving school-leavers a free one-year membership. The award is generally presented during the graduation ceremony.
Since 2005, 2,900 schools throughout Germany have participated in presenting this coveted award.

This year, the GDCh is issuing the GDCh Abitur Prize for the 22nd time. You can find the current call for proposals and details of how to register here.
Each school may nominate one awardee per year group for a book prize and two further awardees for free membership.
