Carl-Roth Award

Anna F. Tiefel is an awardee of the Carl Roth Advancement Award in recognition of her scientific work in the field of synthetic spin chemistry, specifically on the thermal-photonic heterolysis of non-polar chemical bonds and the associated improvement in atom economy and significant reduction in waste products.
Maximilian Wohlgemuth is an awardee of the Carl Roth Advancement Award in recognition of his pioneering research in the field of solvent-free and resource-efficient mechanochemistry and his exceptional contributions to the field of direct mechanocatalysis.

The Carl-Roth Award is presented to young scientists who completed their degree (Master’s or Diplom) no more than three years ago. The award is given for resource-efficient synthesis routes and innovative applications of chemicals, whereby a clear improvement in sustainability must be demonstrated (e.g. through quantitative indicators).
