Board of the GDCh Division of Paint and Coating Chemistry

The governing bodies of the Coatings and Paint Chemistry Division are the members’ meeting, held at least once a year; the three-member Board; and the working committee that supports it, which, in addition to the serving Board, includes around 15 colleagues from various industry segments and the chairs of the two previous terms.

Executive Board Election for the 2027–2029 Term

On 31 December 2026, the term of office of the Board of the GDCh Division of Coating Chemistry will end
and you, as members of the Division, are hereby invited to nominate candidates for the Board election who

  • have declared their willingness to stand for election,
  • are members of the Division and
  • have the support of three members of the Division.

In accordance with the bylaws of the Division, the Board consists of a maximum of three members (1x Chair, 2x Deputy Chair), each elected for a term of three years. Re-election is possible twice.

Sabine Bischoff and Dr Jörg Hinnerwisch will no longer be available for a further term. Prof. Dr Michael Groteklaes has indicated his willingness to stand for election again. We would already like to express our particular thanks to all of them for their many years of successful commitment to the Division and the GDCh as a whole.

For the maximum of three Board positions up for election, the incumbent Board is putting forward the following three proposals, in addition to your nominations:

If no written proposals for nominating additional candidates are received by the GDCh Office by and including 2 October 2026 (for the attention of Maike Fries; m.fries@gdch.de), the election will be conducted as an Online election from 19 October 2026 with the persons listed above.

By letter dated 28 August 2023, we informed you of the candidates proposed by the incumbent Board of the GDCh Division of Coating Chemistry for the forthcoming Board election. No further nominations were submitted by the members. Accordingly, the Board election will be held with the following candidates, all of whom have agreed to stand:

All Division members who have provided an email address will receive a link to the online ballot on Monday, 25 September 2023. All other members will receive the election documents by post.
