Board
The governing bodies of the Coatings and Paint Chemistry Division are the members’ meeting, held at least once a year; the three-member Board; and the working committee that supports it, which, in addition to the serving Board, includes around 15 colleagues from various industry segments and the chairs of the two previous terms.
By letter dated 14 September 2026, we informed you of the candidates proposed by the incumbent Board of the GDCh Division of Coatings and Coating Chemistry for the forthcoming Board election. No further nominations were submitted by members. Accordingly, the Board election will be held with the following candidates, all of whom have agreed to stand:

Under the Division’s bylaws, the Board consists of a maximum of three members (1 Chair and 2 Deputy Chairs), each elected for a term of three years. Re-election is permitted twice.
All members with an email address on file will receive a personalised voting link on Monday, 19 October 2026. All other members will receive their voting papers by post.
The ballot envelopes will be opened and counted at the GDCh Office, Varrentrappstr. 40-42, 60486 Frankfurt am Main. The election results will be announced in Nachrichten aus der Chemie and on the Division’s website.
By letter dated 28 August 2023, we informed you of the candidates proposed by the incumbent Board of the GDCh Division of Coating Chemistry for the forthcoming Board election. No further nominations were submitted by the members. Accordingly, the Board election will be held with the following candidates, all of whom have agreed to stand:

Dr Stefan Kirsch and Dr Volkmar Stenzel will no longer be available for a further term. Prof. Dr Michael Groteklaes has indicated his willingness to stand for re-election. We would already like to express our special thanks to all of them at this point for their many years of successful commitment to the Division and the GDCh as a whole.
