Conference fees

Conference fees of the GDCh Division of Coating Chemistry

Since 2009, the GDCh Division of Paints and Coatings Chemistry has awarded presentation prizes for the best presentations at the Division conference. The presentation prize currently comprises a certificate, prize money of 750 euros and a trophy. The best poster is honoured with a certificate and prize money of 250 euros. Since 2025, the Young Scientist Award has been presented to recognise the best work at an early career stage. This prize comprises a certificate and prize money of 500 euros.

An independent jury appointed by the Division Board assesses the scientific conference contributions according to their scientific content and quality.

The following conference awards were presented as part of the 87th Coatings Conference in Aachen:

1st Presentation Award: Prof. Oliver Weichold, RWTH Aachen University, Wood on the rise – sustainable protection for a building material with a future

2nd Presentation Award: Felix Knospe, University of Duisburg-Essen & Hochschule Niederrhein, Corrosion protection through inclusion complexes: ß-cyclodextrin derivatives for the controlled release of corrosion inhibitors

Young Scientist Award: Rene Reichmann, University of Duisburg-Essen & Hochschule Niederrhein, Biobased phytic acid esters as sustainable curing components in corrosion protection systems

poster award: Lea Viktoria Rubbert, BYK Additives & Hochschule Niederrhein, Tailored RAFT copolymers in solvent and water-based systems: Advanced wetting and dispersing additives

As part of the 86th Coatings Conference in Magdeburg, the following conference awards were presented:
