Scholarship programme of the GDCh Division of Magnetic Resonance

The Division of Magnetic Resonance of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) supports the participation of early-career researchers (students and doctoral researchers) in national and international conferences, seminars or workshops by awarding various travel grants.

1. Conference grants for selected events

Active participation (poster/lecture) at selected conferences is particularly supported by the Division of Magnetic Resonance through the awarding of individually advertised scholarships.

47th FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting (14–17 September 2026; Mainz)

The Division of Magnetic Resonance is awarding a limited number of scholarships of up to 400 euros each for active participation (poster/lecture) at the 47th FGMR Annual Discussion Meeting. Scholarships can be applied for by 24 August 2026 by email to Maike Fries (GDCh Office) using the subject line "Conference scholarship FGMR 2026". The complete application must include the following documents:

  • Completed application form,
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the conference contribution,
  • Proof of registration for the Conference.

2. Conference grants for freely chosen events

The Division of Magnetic Resonance offers a limited number of travel grants for students up to doctoral level to attend Conferences of their choice. Terms and conditions:

  • Active participation (poster/lecture) at a national or international specialist event related in content to the topics of the Division.
  • Maximum grant: 400 euros per grant
  • A maximum of 5 grants awarded for the same event ("first come, first served")
  • A maximum of 1 grant awarded per working group and person per calendar year ("first come, first served")
  • The grant fund is limited; there is no guarantee that funding will be provided.
  • All grant recipients are asked to mention the funding provided by the GDCh Division of Magnetic Resonance in their lecture or on their poster.

General Conference grants may be applied for by e-mail, using the subject line “Magnetic Resonance Conference Grant” no later than 3 weeks before the start of the event, from Dr. Lisa Pecher (GDCh Office). Each application must include the following documents:

  • Completed application form,
  • Abstract of the Conference contribution,
  • Confirmation of acceptance of the Conference contribution
  • Proof of registration for the Conference.
