Liebig Lectureship
The Liebig Association has organised a lecture series since 1999
- the Liebig Lectureship -
for outstanding early-career researchers in Organic Chemistry with up to twelve years of independent research experience, preferably from outside Germany.
The lecture series takes the award winners – the Liebig Lecturers – on a scientific tour of Germany, visiting several universities or research institutes of their choice. The Liebig Lecturer receives prize money of EUR 4,000 to cover the organisation and costs of the tour.
The 2026 Liebig Lecturer is Professor Dr. Luca Dell’ Amico, University of Padova/I. His lecture is entitled “Mechanistic Investigations in Photochemistry and Photocatalysis”. Poster
The Liebig Association for Organic Chemistry within the GDCh is once again inviting applications for the Liebig Lectureship to be awarded in 2025. The award is intended for an outstanding young early-career researcher in organic chemistry, preferably from another European country. As part of the associated tour of Germany, the award recipient will visit several universities or research institutes of their choice, where they will report on their own scientific work. The Lecturer will be selected by the Board of the Liebig Association.
Suitable candidates should be nominated, with a letter of justification, CV and list of publications, by Tuesday, 15 April 2025, exclusively in electronic form at n.buerger@gdch.de.
