Sabrina, Nils & Johann, the spokespersons for the Early-Career Researchers working group

Dr Sabrina Syskowski

Hello dear FGCU members,

I am Dr Sabrina Syskowski and a member of the spokesperson team for the FGCU’s Young Researchers’ Working Group. My research focuses on digital teaching and learning environments for schools and higher education institutions, utilising AI and augmented reality. I am interested in meta-analyses of initiatives. Alongside my research interests, I accompany my daughters to their canoeing regattas and really enjoy cycling. I look forward to being able to offer early-career researchers a space for exchange and professional development through our programme.

Nils Bergander

Hello dear FCGU members,

my name is Nils Bergander and I am new to the team of spokespersons for the FCGU’s Young Researchers’ Working Group. As a PhD student in Prof. Dr Insa Melle’s working group at TU Dortmund University, I am investigating the impact of measures that promote transparency of learning objectives in multimedia-based, self-regulated learning. I look forward to exchanging ideas with you all and helping to launch initiatives for early-career researchers.

Assistant Professor Dr Johann-Nikolaus Seibert

Hello dear FGCU members,

I am a junior-Prof. Dr Johann-Nikolaus Seibert and I’m new to the team of spokespersons for the FGCU’s Young Researchers’ Working Group. I’m really keen to champion the interests of young researchers and look forward to speaking with you and, above all, on your behalf. My research focuses, amongst other things, on innovative teaching and learning formats, particularly those designed to promote self-regulated learning in chemistry and in school laboratories, thereby optimising self-regulation among students and those studying to become chemistry teachers.
