ADUC

The Working Group of German University Professors of Chemistry (ADUC) promotes science and research in the field of chemistry, as well as early-career researchers. The ADUC’s tasks and activities include issuing statements on the development of chemistry in research and teaching at higher education institutions, planning and organising the Chemiedozententagung, awarding the ADUC Prize, and coordinating degree programmes with the Conference of Chemistry Departments.

The ADUC was founded in 1897 as the Association of Heads of Laboratories at German higher education institutions and celebrated its centenary in 1997. Since 1999, the ADUC has been a GDCh structure.

Division member of ADUC can be anyone who supports the tasks and objectives of ADUC and holds a C4/C3 or W3/W2 professorship in chemistry at a university, technical university or comprehensive university.
