Federal Employment Agency

In August 2009, the Federal Employment Agency restructured its online job market. Since then, searching for and finding jobs has been less cumbersome than before. It is therefore worth taking a look.

Bund.de

Telejob

Telejob, the electronic job board of the associations of assistants and doctoral students at ETH Zurich (AVETH) and Lausanne (ACIDE), mainly offers academic positions at universities and research institutes. It is also possible to place job-seeking advertisements.

Connexion-Emploi

At this address you will find the German-French job board and, using the search term "chimie", many vacancies in the German-French and French-speaking regions.

Academic Transfer

This Dutch website provides information about the Dutch labour market and job vacancies.

Hochschulanzeiger

Originating from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung's Saturday section "Career and Opportunities", this website features articles for specialists and managers in a wide range of academic professions.

Otto Benecke Foundation

For unemployed university graduates, the non-profit Otto Benecke Foundation offers the AQUA project ("Academics Qualify for the Labour Market"). Through subject-specific supplementary study programmes conducted throughout Germany, AQUA offers opportunities for targeted qualification for various professional groups. The educational programme is aimed at university graduates receiving unemployment benefit I and ALG II. Regardless of age, university qualification, nationality or duration of unemployment, interested parties can apply for the 13-month programmes, e.g. in renewable energies or optical technologies.
