Professor Seeberger will describe a medicinal chemistry approach to the development of semi- and fully synthetic glycoconjugate vaccines against severe bacterial infections, including resistant hospital microorganisms. This approach is fueled by oligosaccharides prepared by automated glycan assembly (AGA) that has been commercialized.
