Jan von Langermann ist seit 2022 Professor an der Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg. Seine Forschungsaktivitäten sind in der (Bio)Katalyse beheimatet. Sein Fokus liegt dabei in der integrierten Verfahrenstechnik. Beispiele sind die Synthese chiraler Amine, Alkohole, Ester und Amine. Die Integration selektiver Trennverfahren. Enantioselektive Kristallisation in synthetischen Konzepten.
