Biindoles. A Synthetic Overview

Von Wiley-VCH zur Verfügung gestellt

Biindoles, a fascinating class of heterocycles present in several fields of science including the oldest known dye, is systematically but in a concise fashion reviewed, describing as key, point the synthetic strategies reported to date.

The biindolic core is among the most relevant heterocyclic systems found in several fields of science. Herein, its importance and synthetic methods to access their multiple isomers generated by their different connectivity are reviewed.
