Abstract submission for invited lectures

Scope of the conference - Topics

Electrochemistry influences many processes in our daily live, ranging from reliable electronic components produced through galvanic processes, sustainable energy production and storage in the present days and future, materials that contain electrochemically produced substances, electrochemically functionalized surfaces, electrochemical biosensors and bioelectrochemical processes. Though these application may seem extremely broad, the elementary processes are very similar and hence there are many common principles in designing experiments and theoretical concepts in the different fields. Despite its global and universal impact, many electrochemical processes are very localized because they occur at interfaces and these interfaces show often largely differing reaction rates in the horizontal plane.

We hope to span the range from the fundamental nature of these processes to the global impacts that can be made by their rational utilization in a conference program composed of plenary lectures, keynote lectures, contributed oral communications and posters. This will naturally include an intense discussion of the new experimental possibilities and conceptual influences received by electrochemistry from its neighboring disciplines.

Some of the anticipated focal points of the scientific program include

- New batteries and electrochemical energy storage devices
- Fuel cells and electrocatalysis
- Solid state electrochemistry, ionic liquids and unconventional electrolytes and interfaces
- Biosensors and electroanalysis
- High throughput and combinatorial approaches in electrochemistry
- Advances in electrochemical synthesis and production
- Nanoelectrochemistry in production and surface characterization
- New deposition and coating strategies
- New fundamental insights from combined theory and experiments

Call for papers

Oral and poster contributions from all fields of electrochemistry are welcome. The conference will run in 4 plenary lectures and 3 parallel sessions organized to group thematically related talks into one session. Depending on the incoming abstracts these sessions are designed.

A poster session will offer additional space for sharing scientific results. The poster session will be combined with a Get-together Event at the first conference evening.

Abstract Guidelines

To fill in fields with a red asterisk is mandatory. The abstract must be assigned to the main topic. The abstract file (only RTF or PDF will be accepted) has to be included in the submission of a paper; otherwise a submission will not be possible. Files may contain embedded graphics, but remember longer transmission times and timeout problems (files should not exceed 10 MB).
Invalid files cause complete cancellation of your submission. Concerning the layout of your abstract please keep to the following guidelines:

Volume 1 page DIN A 4 (29,7 cm height, 21 cm width)
Font Arial, 12 pt
Margins left/right: 2,3 cm; above/below: 3 cm
1st paragraph empty
2nd paragraph Title of the paper (bold face)
3rd paragraph Authors of the contribution in the format:
Main author, initials, city/country code,
Co-author(s) in the same format, Address of the main author
4th paragraph Contents of the abstract
Foot-notes Do not use Winword foot-notes, please write foot-notes
in normal text at the end of your abstract

After a successful transmission you will receive a reference code for each submitted paper and a few days later a confirmation of receipt. In case you did not have received this confirmation please contact: tgonline@gdch.de
The committee reserves the right to accept or reject contributions, to decide on oral or poster presentation, and to re-assign them to different topics.
