ORCHEM 2010

ORCHEM 2010

17. Lecture Conference of the Liebig-Vereinigung für Organische Chemie

September 13-15, 2010 in Weimar

Scientific progress depends on discussion and interaction. For this reason scientific conferences are especially important for younger researchers.

ORCHEM has developed into one of the most important organic chemistry conferences in Germany for academics, industrial chemists, and students alike. It takes place in Weimar for the second time in 2010.

ORCHEM is not a specialised conference, but rather encompasses the entire field of organic chemistry. It is a meeting point for renowned scientists from Germany and abroad. At the same time, ORCHEM is tailored to the interests of Ph.D. students. An important feature of the programme is a poster session where young researchers can present their latest results.

At ORCHEM 2010 lectures from the following areas are planned: new synthetic methodology, biological and medicinal chemistry, physical organic chemistry, organic materials, organocatalysis, transition metal catalysis, and natural product synthesis.
