How to Become a Member


Information on Membership

There are several categories of GDCh membership. Please check which category applies to you. Should question come up, do not hesitate to get in touch with our membership services.

Ordinary Members (Ordentliche Mitglieder) are:

  • Individuals working in chemistry and related areas as well as everyone with an interest in the chemical and molecular sciences.

Student Members and other Members in Education: Students of chemistry including PhD students as well as everyone being in education with an interest in the chemical and molecular sciences.

Supporting Members: Companies, scientific institutions, authorities etc.

Associated Members: Individuals who have neither a chemistry background nor work in the chemical sector and who are interested only in joining one of the Divisions of the GDCh.

Notice for our members: The allocation to a local section or JCF is made automatically according to the postal code of the members ship-to address, which was sent to the main office.

    Please return completed and signed form by fax or mail to the GDCh. Please note that both pages of the form have to be filled out!

Division membership application form (for GDCh members only!)

Membership in one of the 25 GDCh divisions requires the membership in the GDCh. Individuals interested in associate membership (please see above), please use the regular GDCh membership application form.
