Mission

The Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker unites those people associated with the chemical and molecular sciences and supports them in their responsible and sustainable endeavors for the good of the public and of our environment.

For this purpose

• We support the scientific work, research and teaching upon maintaining the highest standards of quality and integrity as well as the exchange and dissemination of scientific knowledge,
• We support the establishment of networks, interdisciplinary and international collaboration and progress in education and continuing education on the high school, university and vocational levels,
• We welcome an intensive and constructive dialog with the public for promoting the understanding of chemistry,
• We actively and sustainably incorporate our expertise in the sciences, politics and society through the open communication and dependable cooperation with our partners, and
• We act independently, continuously and environmentally responsibly, being firmly engaged in the international scientific community for the benefit of society and mindful of the expectations of future generations.
